ALT.Storm Series (2 of 2) - Coding Lightning Talks
You!!
This is the second of a 2-month ALT.Storm Series hosted by Indy ALT.NET. This second session of ALT.Storm will be a sequence of lightning talks given by various people who want to share an awesome code sample they have, teach you a neat coding technique, explain how they applied a pattern in an interesting way, or almost anything else. The sky is the limit and we want YOU to share what you have with us!
Interested? Want to sign up to show off your goods? Excellent! Respond to this posting with a comment (yes, sign up if you haven't already done so), specify what it is you'd like to show off and Sasha will contact you to get you signed up and scheduled.
The talk format will be:
1-2 minutes of setup time
5 minutes of uninterrupted talk-time.
5 minutes of interruptible (with questions) time.
At that point, the monitor/projector cable gets yanked, and you can only continue talking until the next person's code is on the screen.

You'll have a visible countdown timer too to help keep you on track.

I'm looking into Silverlight
I'm looking into Silverlight 3 right now, so I should be able to do a lightning talk on that, specifically the browser navigation and deep-linking aspect.

I've recently been working
I've recently been working with SQL Server Analysis Services at work and was thinking about demoing implementation of a neat third-party control from Dundas that we're probably going to be using that gives you a very quick, easy, and powerful web interface to your cube data.
http://www.dundas.com/Products/Chart/NET/OLAp/OLAPDemos.aspx is a URL to the page that launches their demo in case you're interested early. :-)

I tried to register and I got "Access denied" :( I don't get any Chrome love. Anyway, I think I can make it this time.

I primarily use Chrome too but haven't had many problems other than some slight page layout issues (such as the hover-over links in the Upcoming Events section). If you want something fixed, though, it's probably either an issue associated with Drupal or our specific theme provided by Acquia (see our footer). One of these days maybe I'll have the time to look into that. Sorry about your problem there but hopefully now that you're registered you can use the rest of the site normally. :-)
