Speaker(s):
This month, Brian Ball will be joining us to lead a discussion on functional programming with F#. F# is a typed functional programming language for the .NET platform. F# is already used by Microsoft for XBox analytics as well as many financial and scientific groups.
We will be exploring why functional programming is useful, an introduction to F# and its unique place in the .NET ecosystem, and finish with some real programming. The slides, examples, and links to more information are now available in Brian's blog.
Food starts at 5:15, geekery starts at 6:00. Show up early and hang out with us and grab some free grub!!
